“Sickle cell
hemoglobin forms as a result of:
A: A mutation in the
peptide
B: A mutation in the
amino Acid
C: A mutation in the
DNA”
Now if you’re staring at this question with absolutely no
idea what the answer is, don’t feel bad, cause you’re defiantly not alone. I
hate biology. So much in fact, I feel its necessary to say it twice… I HATE
BIOLOGY!!!! Not only do I not like the material, but also my professor is as
boring as she could be. Like seriously, there’s no way this class could be any
more boring, or for another class to be as boring as this. If anyone out there
reading this blog thinks they’re in the most boring biology class, then I would
love to challenge that…and you know what that means right? BORING BIOLOGY FACE
OFF!!!! WOOO! Haha great idea right? I should make that into a game show some
day. Watch out Family feud. But no seriously, this class is easily my least
favorite class out of the week; and of course I’ll have it at 9 am when I’m
barely awake. It would be a lot better if I had my fun, amazingly interesting
English class this early so at least I would have the slightest interest in
actually waking up. All my biology professor does is lector and read off of PowerPoints.
That by itself is pretty boring, but it’s not over yet, because she has the
most monotone voice I’ve ever heard! Granted, this is a class of almost 300
students, but still, it doesn’t have to be this boring. There has to be some
way for her to make this more interesting. Show some videos, crack some bio
jokes, at least put some transitions on the slides! Transitions could always
make a boring PowerPoint slide interesting. The information would still be
boring, but at least it would be flashy and fun to look at. Which in turn,
might actually get me to pay attention to the information, since I’m already
looking up. One of the only good things about this class is that I actually get
a lot of work done in there. Not biology work though. Pretty much any other
class I have work due in. I figure I’m not paying attention to her anyway, so I
may as well make something productive come from this. And that’s actually
something pretty special, to bore a kid so much into making him do work. I’m actually writing this blog from her class
right now. But all in all, her class isn’t THAT bad. Her tests aren’t killer
and it’s not like she assigns hours of homework every night; and we don’t have
to maintain some type of blog every week… So keep doing what you’re doing Ms.
Biology Professor, ‘cause you do it well.
I know how you feel because i absolutely despise biology as well. I also do agree that our English class is very fun and interesting, probably the most fun English class I ever had.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to you on this one, Jordan, I also have a Biology class that is boring and where the teacher has a monotone voice. I feel your pain. I also think it's funny how your trying to earn brownie points in our English class haha.
